delft in Blue and white
A original pastel painting, a pink rose rises from a blue-and-white vase beside a round plate, with miniature scenes of a sailboat, trees, cottages, and a windmill appearing across the ceramic forms. Pastel on paper creates a softly grainy surface, blending hazy blue passages with brighter floral accents and delicate drawn details. The composition feels serene and nostalgic, well suited to an intimate living area, bedroom, or hallway.
Orit Bar Shai
A creator who comes from the world of home styling, began painting relatively late in life and discovered a magical world she hadn’t known before. Very quickly, painting became her personal language – a way to observe, to pause for a moment, and to give new meaning to the simple things around her. She mainly paints landscapes and still life, with great softness in tones and precision, as if each piece has its own story. She works with oil paints and pastels, and loves engaging with the material itself – the texture, the interplay between soft and warm colors, and the relationships between light and shadow. Her background in home styling is present in every painting – in the everyday aesthetics, the balanced composition, the choice of tones, and the understanding of space and harmony. This creates a unique connection between the world of design and the world of art, a connection that gives her works an intimate, familiar, yet magical feeling.
