Chromatic Cartography
Broad fields of blue, orange, ochre and white intersect with dark vertical strokes, scratched grids and energetic linear marks. Layered acrylic on canvas creates a varied surface of scraped passages, opaque blocks and exposed underlayers. The tension between architectural structure and spontaneous gesture gives the composition an energetic, contemporary presence suited to a living room, office or dining area.

Since childhood, color has always been a significant part of me. I used it to express my emotions and my inner world. Painting is where I channel my energies and this is what leads to the flow of the shapes on the canvas. After the initial explosion of paint, I continue to discover hidden images and so the dialogue between me and the painting continues. I use many types of different materials including some from the building world (such as a spatula), and a whole new world is discovered with many living layers. This is a free spiritual process that does not intentionally lead to a specific result. Painting is an expression of my inner soul through which I resonate to the outer world.
