Beyond the Stone Arch
A broad stone arch frames a narrow paved passage, where small figures recede between weathered walls, doors, and curling ironwork. Layered oil paint on canvas builds the masonry through broken ochres, browns, grays, and deep blues, with tactile strokes and loosely defined edges. The bright opening creates a nostalgic sense of discovery, well suited to a living room, office, or hallway.

Tomer bitan
My name is Tomer Bitan, a multidisciplinary artist living and creating in the heart of Safed. I specialize in oil paintings on canvas alongside large-scale murals and graffiti art. For me, creating art is a deeply spiritual and emotional process, born from a personal connection to the Galilean landscapes of my upbringing. The ancient stone alleyways, the open fields, the ever-shifting play of light and shadow, and the deep gaze in the eyes of my subjects are my primary sources of inspiration. My works combine a realistic approach with capturing warm, intimate moments of joy and tradition, seeking to bring a touch of soul, tranquility, and inner strength into every space.
