Embrace Beneath the Canopy

Jack Vainunska

$1,110

A bride holding a vivid floral bouquet leans into her groom beneath a canopy, with a densely patterned town unfolding behind them. Layered acrylic color, outlined forms, and finely rendered textile motifs give the canvas a tactile, folk-inspired character. Warm ochres, deep blue, and flashes of red create a romantic, celebratory mood suited to a living or dining room.

Jack Vainunska

Jacques Vainunska was born in Lille, France, in 1948 and moved to Israel in 1971. A self-taught painter and photographer, he has exhibited extensively in Israel and internationally. His earlier works explored urban landscapes, contrasting historic neighborhoods with monumental modern architecture. Over time, his practice evolved toward a more layered and contemporary visual language, combining portraiture, abstraction, typography, musical notation and symbolic imagery. His work draws on music, literature, Jewish and Israeli culture, memory and historical figures. Working mainly in acrylic, Vainunska builds his paintings through layering, revision and intuitive discovery. The result is a distinctive body of work in which figurative imagery, abstraction and graphic elements merge into a highly recognizable style.
